#649 Assistant Director-General, People and Organisation, Australian Secret Intelligence Service
ASIS is Australia’s overseas secret intelligence collection agency. Its mission is to protect and promote Australia’s vital interests through the provision of intelligence services as directed by the Government. Its work involves collecting intelligence relating to national security, international relations and economic issues. It also contributes to Australia’s coordinated national effort against terrorism, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and trans-national issues such as people smuggling.
The Assistant Director-General, People and Organisation is responsible for providing quality, client-focused services to maintain a highly skilled and sustainable workforce. It incorporates Strategic Workforce Management, Employee Relations, Personnel Services, Work Health and Safety, Recruitment and Organisational Psychology.
As a leader in the Corporate Management and Security Division, and within the Service, the Assistant Director-General, People and Organisation will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative human resources improvement initiatives aligned with the directions and priorities of ASIS’s Strategic Plan.
