The Directors, Tricia Searson and Karina Duffey, have extensive experience at senior levels within the public and private sectors and have direct personal involvement in all aspects of the business, taking a lead role in managing all assignments.

Karina DuffeyCo-Founder and Principal
As a Co-Founder and Principal Karina brings a depth of experience in executive search and recruitment management. Karina has an extensive background at senior management levels in the Australian Public Service and joined the private sector in 1996. Since that time, she has worked for both large and small human resource organisations before becoming a Principal Consultant and then General Manager with an Executive Search firm. Karina has a diverse background across both the public and private sectors with a focus on executive search, organisational change and project management.
Lauren Searson-PatrickSenior Manager, Strategy, Growth and Delivery
Lauren has a worked in the talent and recruitment industry for over 15 years. With experience in both the public and private sectors, Lauren is also an executive coach and brings a passion for small business, government and helping people find fulfilling careers. At Executive Intelligence Group, Lauren is responsible for business strategy and growth as well as leading executive recruitment assignments.
Renee BrassingtonProject Manager, Executive Recruitment
Renee studied Psychology at University and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science (psychology). While studying, Renee worked across a number of areas in a large, private business including account management, front-line co-ordination, client management and supervised all reception staff. In 2017, Renee joined Executive Intelligence Group and provides key project management on our executive recruitment assignments.
Zara WillsAdministration and Receptionist
Zara has an extensive background in retail, tourism and administration. Having managed retail stores in Canberra before spending time living and working the Canadian ski season, Zara joined Executive Intelligence Group as Administration Assistant and Receptionist in 2023.
Executive Intelligence Group has a small number of high calibre, capable professionals who assist with various aspects of the business and are held in high regard in the market.
Tricia SearsonCo-Founder and Principal
Tricia has been a Director of two highly successful executive search businesses. After 19 years in the public sector, including time at the Senior Executive Service level, Tricia joined the private sector where she focused on human resource management, organisational reform and executive search.
She is now one of two Co-Founders and Principals of Executive Intelligence Group and continues to specialise in executive search and providing high level advice on talent management.
Helen InnesSenior Consultant
Helen is a Senior Consultant and coach who spent 25 years in the Australian Public Service including 11 years at the Senior Executive level. Commencing her career in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and working most of her career in the Employment portfolio, she has since worked on many complex public policy issues, including social services, women’s workforce participation, homelessness, disability and migration. Helen also worked as First Assistant Secretary, People and Communications before retiring from the APS in early 2020.
Catherine JenningsProject and Business Manager, Executive Recruitment
Catherine joined Executive Intelligence Group in 2015 as the Business Manager she provides high level business management support, alongside the project management of our executive recruitment assignments. Catherine has over 19 years’ experience in project management, financial management, business management and human resources. Catherine has a wealth of corporate services and business management experience.
