Cathy Mauk

Cathy began her formal work as a trained coach in 2007, having provided support and advice to APS managers and executives as well as private sector and not-for-profit CEOs for many years through her management consulting practice. As a consultant, a facilitator and a coach she has drawn on her diverse background as a lawyer, a senior manager, a business owner, a university lecturer and tutor, a health professional and a writer. Cathy has a solid understanding of the environment and culture of the APS gained through seventeen years of providing strategy development; policy, program and structural reviews; business improvement; project management; change management; tendering and contracting; HR and team development, management and leadership development program design and facilitation in core business and corporate areas for over 25 separate public sector agencies. She has provided similar services to the state governments in Tasmania, NSW and Victoria, and internationally in Indonesia, Viet Nam, Bangladesh, Macau and the United States. Her coaching clients have included senior public servants, CEOS, academics, health care providers, lawyers, police, entrepreneurs, and individuals involved in the arts.
